A rental agreement is a legal document between the owner of the house and the tenant of the house. In case of any dispute between them, the tenancy agreement will act as a support.
Why is the rental agreement that is seen as a solution to the problem of both of them being given to 11 students?

If the tenancy agreement is less than one year then it is not necessary to register the agreement. A tenancy agreement of less than one year is not required to be registered under Section 17 of the Registration Act, 1908. Under the Rent Control Act, the concerned parties do not have to pay any stamp duty and registration fees to create an 11-month tenancy agreement and if they decide to extend the agreement, they can still renew the old tenancy agreement using a Rs 100 stamp. Therefore, landlords usually sign a 11-month lease.
