Mobile Numbers Launched to Combat Bribes @sub register offices inTamil Nadu”
Bribes for registration of properties are common in Sub-Registrar offices in Tamil Nadu and to prevent this, Tamil Nadu government has introduced mobile numbers to report bribes when coming to register documents.
Last year there were several raids by the vigilence department , for example:
Nov 2 /2023, dawn raid by vigilence police at Vedaranyam Sir Registrar’s office,
The raid started at 6 pm and continued till 3 am. An unaccounted amount of Rs. 1 lakh 800 in cash was seized from the office in this raid which took place at dawn for 9 consecutive hours. They also seized some documents.
March 15/2023 Search in sub-registrar’s office across Tamil Nadu by vigilence department takes action after receiving complaint!!
The vigilence department has informed that in the raids being conducted in the sub-registrar’s offices in various districts of Tamil Nadu, money has been seized.
